The Beetle offers VW quality in a more light-hearted and fun package and the Cabriolet is designed to generate even more smiles. It's a car you either love or hate - fans will think it's one of the coolest drop-tops for sensible money (and probably give it a name). It's certainly not the masculine and not one for shrinking violets either. It was given a subtle facelift in 2005; the most noticeable change was the indicator repeaters moving to the wing mirrors and slightly different lights.
